Ruim 20 jaar geniet de wereld van de betere whisky uit België met de prijzenswaardige creaties van The Belgian Owl. Distillery Manager Julien Pirotte verzorgt een masterclass zonder weerga, en neemt ons mee langs verleden, heden, en de toekomst van The Belgian Owl in woord en spirit.
Een voorproefje van de uniciteit?
De exceptionele Haspengouwse terroir maakt in combinatie met de fair trade partnerschappen met regionale boeren, dat deze geweldige Single Malt gecreëerd kan worden met als goede tweede element het water uit een bron onder de destilleerderij. Aan deze lokale elementen zijn twee belangrijke ketels toegevoegd van de gesloten Caperdonich Destileerderij (1898) die het ensemble en de Single Malt fenomenaal maken.
Sinds jaar en dag worden deze beste Single Malts vooral op Bourbon gelegd. En op de 20e verjaardag kwam de destilleerderij met een blend waaronder PX, die we zeker gaan proeven, en wie weet wat Julien nog meer voor ons in petto heeft? Doe mee met deze one of a kind masterclass van The Belgian Owl!

A preview of the Owls’ uniqueness?
The exceptional Hesbaye terroir, combined with fair trade partnerships with local farmers, allows for the creation of this amazing Single Malt, with the added benefit of water from a spring beneath the distillery. To these local elements, two important stills from the closed Caperdonich Distillery (1898) have been added, making the ensemble and the Single Malt phenomenal.
For years, these best Single Malts have mainly been aged in Bourbon casks. And on the 20th anniversary, the distillery presented a blend including PX, which we will definitely taste, and who knows what else Julien has in store for us? Join this one-of-a-kind masterclass!
