Met meer dan 40 jaar ervaring in internationale drankverkoop en marketing\, heeft Nick een sterke focus op Schotse whisky. \n\n\n\n\n\nOver The Firkin Whisky Co: \n\n\n\nMike Collings\, de oprichter van The Firkin Whisky Co\, heeft een indrukwekkende carrière in de whiskywereld. Hij heeft onder andere Johnnie Walker Blue & Green Labels\, The Classic Malts en Rare Malts gecreëerd. Mike besloot een unieke whisky te maken die opvalt in de markt van single cask single malts. \n\n\n\n\n\nDe Whisky: \n\n\n\nFirkin whisky wordt altijd gerijpt in op maat gemaakte vaten. Elk vat is uniek vanwege de locatie en het type hout. De whisky wordt opnieuw gerijpt in een Firkin custom double oak vat\, dat is gekruid met een soulmate wijn. SUMMARY:Hielander Whisky Festival in Alkmaar
DESCRIPTION:Ontdek alles over whisky tijdens het Hielander Whisky Festival in Alkmaar. Proef\, ruik en leer in de historische ambiance van een 500 jaar oude kerk. Kleur\, geur en smaak zijn de belangrijkste ingrediënten voor een proeverij van klasse. U krijgt uitleg over de whisky’s en de distilleerderijen waar ze geproduceerd worden. Ook andere onderwerpen komen aan bod\, zoals het productieproces\, de kenmerken van whisky’s\, hout en vaten\, water en turf\, ketels en andere technische aspecten. \n\n\n\nSinds 2011 heeft Noord-Holland haar eigen Whisky Festival in de Grote Kerk van Alkmaar. Op zo’n 3.000 m² presenteren whiskyleveranciers hun beste whisky’s. Er zijn Schotse en Ierse lekkernijen\, kleding\, reisinformatie\, snuisterijen en natuurlijk veel whisky. \n\n\n\nKaartjes worden per sessie verkocht en er is een maximum aantal bezoekers per sessie. Tijdens elke sessie worden er ook masterclasses gehouden over uiteenlopende onderwerpen. \n\n\n\nDe entreeprijs bedraagt € 39\,95 per persoon (vanaf 18 jaar). Bij binnenkomst krijgt elke bezoeker een origineel proefglas met opdruk en een festivalboekje. Corry Irish Whiskey – Trade in Spirits\n \nJ.J.Corry brings us back what was once extinct: Bonding. \nIn the 19th and 20th centuries\, hundreds of distilleries existed in Ireland\, but most did not blend or bottle their whiskey. This was done by Whiskey Bonders. Bonders were publicans\, merchants and independent bottlers\, who sourced new make spirit from distilleries which they aged in their own casks\, before blending and bottling for local customers. After the collapse of the Irish Whiskey industry\, this thriving tradition became extinct. Until now. \nJ.J.Corry \nIn the 1800s\, our inspiration and namesake J.J. Corry was an independent Irish whiskey Bonder in port town of Kilrush\, County Clare. As a whiskey bonder\, he was licensed to buy wholesale whiskey from the nearest distillery; age it in sherry\, port or wine casks he acquired from trading ships; and create unique blends for private clients\, hotels and bars. \nLibrary of flavours \nThe casks and whiskeys under our care are curated stories in liquid form. No one else has built such an impressive library of flavours. As modern bonder\, Louise is free to select the most promising new-make and rare\, aged Single Malts\, Single Grains and Potstills from Ireland’s many distilleries. JJC travels the globe to collaborate with our partners-in-craft to source unusual and special barrels \nin which to age out whiskey. We partnered with the World’s Best Cooperage 2023\, Casknolia\, to select a range of oak barrels that have been seasoned with varying styles of sherry wines from the Sherry Triangle.
